Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting is a real-time service in which a professional interpreter works in a closed booth or separate room, translating via a microphone and headset system for participants who don't speak the language in question. Simultaneous interpreting is the type of service required for events such as conferences, meetings and presentations, congresses and various events with guests and speakers of several languages. To guarantee real-time, quality translation, the interpreter must be a native speaker of the target language and have a complete command of the source language.

Consecutive interpreting

In this type of interpreting, usually used for occasions and events that are appropriate for short pauses for translation, the speaker takes short pauses during the speech so that the translator can translate that segment. Consecutive interpreting also includes the translation of questions and answers, as well as other interactions during the event, although translation makes the event last about twice as long.

WHISPERED interpreting

When performing whispered interpreting, the interpreter translates into a language that most of the participants understand. The speaker and participants speak without pausing, and the interpreter will be translating in a low voice for their client, whispering what is being said. Occasionally, the interpreter also translates what their client is saying for the other participants.
